Lumyra toughened glass offers safety, transparency and versatility: monolithic, made to measure and heat-treated for every project. A material that combines flexibility with minimalist design, ideal for applications where uncompromising strength is required.
Tempered glass
10 mm monolithic glass, heated up to ~650°C and then rapidly cooled, resulting in a product stronger than standard glass.
Tempering Technology
The production process involves high-temperature heating followed by rapid cooling, creating surface tension that provides the glass with greater impact resistance, flexural strength, and thermal shock resistance. Each sheet is treated, cut, and finished to measure, ensuring precise edges and full compatibility with Lumyra systems.
Product Advantages
Certified Safety
In the event of accidental breakage, the glass fragments into small, non-sharp granules, minimising injury risk and guaranteeing maximum protection in both public and private environments.

Mechanical Resistance
The thermal treatment makes the pane up to 7 times more resistant than standard glass to impacts, wind loads and thermal shock.

Traceability
Every pane is labelled and tracked in our production database, allowing identical replacements to be ordered to the nearest tenth of a millimetre without on-site resurveying.

Architectural Versatility
Engineered for integration in VEPA systems, balustrades and panoramic enclosures, offering total design freedom in bespoke shapes and dimensions.

Made in Italy
Total supply chain control, from edging to tempering, ensures perfect edges and the absence of visual distortions typical of lower-grade processing.

FAQ
What is the real difference between standard glass and Lumyra tempered glass?
Lumyra tempered glass undergoes an extreme thermal treatment followed by rapid cooling, creating surface compression. This makes it approximately 7 times more resistant to breakage than untreated glass and, crucially, classifies it as safety glass: if it breaks, it does not produce dangerous shards.
Why is 10 mm thickness your standard?
10 mm represents the optimal balance between mechanical weight and dynamic resistance. This thickness is required to achieve Class 6 wind resistance certification (above 140 km/h) and to ensure that large-format panels do not flex excessively during operation.
How do you guarantee the absence of impurities or visual defects?
What does the CSI-UNI quality mark on your glass mean?
It is a certification we obtain following rigorous audits by notified third-party bodies (such as the Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro). For the distributor, it is legal proof that the glass is not merely “CE-marked” by the manufacturer, but independently certified by external laboratories for the declared performance levels.
How do you clean Lumyra glass systems?
For routine cleaning, simply use lukewarm water and a neutral detergent (pH 6–8), applied with a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid abrasive tools and substances, as well as acidic or alkaline products, which can damage the sealants. For more stubborn dirt, isopropyl or denatured alcohol may be used, whilst for limescale, a 5–10% acetic acid solution followed by rinsing with lukewarm water is recommended: in both cases, take care not to touch gaskets, sealants or painted parts. Aluminium profiles should be cleaned with plain neutral soapy water and a clean cloth, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight whilst washing.

Certified quality, from installation to maintenance
Lumyra sliding glass doors are made from 10 mm toughened glass, certified to UNI 11998:2025. Thanks to its extraordinary elasticity and strength, the structure guarantees exceptional sturdiness and durability, whilst offering a high level of thermal comfort. A reliable solution that meets the highest standards required in both residential and commercial settings.
Installation is also straightforward: our systems are supplied pre-assembled, thereby reducing installation time and simplifying work on site. Maintenance is equally straightforward: for routine cleaning, all you need is lukewarm water and a neutral detergent, applied with a soft cloth. For specific cases, we have compiled all the necessary instructions in the dedicated manual, which you can download via the link below.
Training at Lumyra Glass
At Lumyra Glass, training is the cornerstone on which we build our partnership with our distributors. We do not simply supply glass systems; we pass on to our distributors the know-how needed to manage every project with industrial precision.
At the heart of our operations is the Forlì Showroom, a space designed to offer a hands-on experience. Here, professionals do not simply view the product; they put it through its paces to understand its construction principles and the benefits it offers during installation.
